If you call 911 in a situation, are other people safe from getting in trouble?

The law enforcement officer cannot take a person into custody based on an underage drinking offense if that person requested medical assistance for a person in need.  The individuals must remain at the scene and provide their full name and relevant information. However, persons who face other offenses such as providing alcohol to minors, driving drunk, and possession of controlled substances can still be prosecuted. (According to the Lifeline Law in Indiana)
